- Assembly: Guinea-Bissau has a unicameral National People's Assembly (Assembleia Nacional Popular) with 102 seats.

Description of electoral system:
- The Interim President is elected by absolute majority vote to serve a 5-year term.
- In the National People's Assembly (Assembleia Nacional Popular) 102 members are elected by proportional representation to serve 4-year terms.***
*** Closed lists. 27 multi-member districts. An election is valid only if more than 50 percent of eligible voters in a constituency turn out.
