The presidential election will be held concurrently.

  • Assembly: unicameral 275-seat Parliament 

 

  • The President is elected by majority vote in up to 2 rounds to a 4-year term, once renewable. 

  • All 275 members of Parliament are elected by plurality vote in single-seat constituencies to 4-year terms. 

 

In the last election in 2020, the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress both received 137 seats. The New Patriotic Party formed a government with the one independent elected to Parliament. Voter turnout was 79%.
