  • In the Senate 30 members are elected by popular vote to serve 6-year terms*. In the Chamber of Deputies 99 members are elected by popular vote to serve 4-year terms.

* One-third of the Senate is elected every two years.

  • The last election for the Chamber of Deputies had two rounds of voting.  The first was held on 28 November 2010, and the second was held on 20 March 2011.  There were 4,712,693 registered voters for the election.  The final seat allocation after totaling the results of both rounds was as follows**: Inité won 46 seats (of 99), Lavni won 8 seats, Altenativ won 7 seats, A.A.A. won 8 seats, Repons Peyizan won 3 seats, Konbit won 3 seats, Liberation Platform won 3 seats, Ansanm Nou Fò won 4 seats, Independents won 2 seats, Mochrenha won 2 seats, Platform of Haitian Patriots (PLAPH) won 1 seat, RESPE won 1 seat, Solidarity won 1 seat, PONT won 2 seats, Socialist Action Movement (MAS) won 1 seat, Veye Yo won 1 seat, and Rasamble won 3 seats.[20]
