The Prime Minister is chosen by the State Great Hural and is usually the leader of the majority party or coalition.
78 members of the State Great Hural are directly elected in a selected constituency by plurality vote. The other 48 members are directly elected by proportional representation vote. All 126 members serve 4-year terms.
