The state of Georgia is holding two runoff elections for U.S. Senate on January 5, 2021. No candidate received a majority of votes in either the regularly scheduled election or the special election on November 3, 2020. Georgia was the only state to hold two U.S. Senate elections in 2020.

Candidates in the Special General runoff election*:

  • Candidate: Kelly LOEFFLER

  • Candidate: Raphael WARNOCK
    • Party: Democratic Party
    • Votes received in last election: 1,617,035

*This is a special election after a Republican senator retired last year. Georgia’s governor appointed Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) to the seat, and now she is running in her first election for a full term.
