The Netherlands Institute of Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) seeks to strengthen democracy in Georgia through programming in education, democratic reforms, and political party development. NIMD has operated 'democracy schools' in Georgia since 2011, with the first pilot conducted in the eastern province of Telavi. Through a curriculum based on four course modules: practical skills, participation and leadership, democratic society, and democratic governance, the schools train their students to become leaders, and agents of positive change in Georgia. For more information, a report released by NIMD is available here.
