The Project on Middle East Democracy (POMED) has released the Arabic version of its report: The Federal Budget and Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2011: Democracy, Governance, and Human Rights in the Middle East. The report analyzes the Obama Administration's 2011 budget, and concludes that while an overall commitment towards democracy and governance in the MENA region remains in place, there has been a noticeable shift away from democracy assistance, and towards strengthening the governing capabilities of certain regimes. The Arabic report can be accessed here and the English here.
