The Principality of Andorra held an election on 1 March for 28 seats in its unicameral legislature, the General Council of the Valleys (Consell General de las Valls).  In this contest 14 members were elected through a closed-list proportional representation, and 14 members were selected by absolute majority vote.   The ruling center-right Democrats for Andorra won the election with 15 out of 28 seats (37%), but losing 5 seats compared to its landslide victory in 2011.[1] In 2011 the party won the election with 55 percent of the vote and 20 seats, giving it all seven parishes.
