  • This referendum asks voters to approve the draft constitution of Iraq.

Description of government structure:

  • Chief of State: President Jalal TALABANI
  • Head of Government: Prime Minister Ibrahim al-JAFARI
  • Assembly: Iraq has a unicameral Transitional National Assembly (Mejlis Watani) with 275 seats.
