The International Republican Institute (IRI) has released a survey of Iraqi public opinion.
IRI released its survey of public opinion in the Northern Triangle region (PDF) of Iraq, along with an analysis of the poll's findings (PDF). The survey, which included the provinces of Anbar, Salahhadin, Diyala, Ninawa and Kirkuk, was conducted April 13-18, 2011.The randomly selected sample consisted of 765 Iraqi citizens eligible to vote and is a representation of the general Iraqi population by age, gender, ethnicity, province, religion and education. The margin of error for the regional sample does not exceed ± 3.5 percent.
IRI has conducted surveys in Iraq since 2003. This poll is part of IRI’s programming in Iraq designed to share information with relevant stakeholders to improve accountability and transparency in the political process.
