Citizens of Grenada voted in legislative elections held on February 19, 2013. Every 5 years, 15 members of the House of Representatives are elected by a simple majority vote in single-member district to serve 5-year terms. This year, the opposition New National Party defeated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with a landslide victory of 100 percent—all 15 seats in parliament. The Organization of American States (OAS), who visited all 15 of Grenada’s constituencies, recorded a high voter turnout of approximately 85 percent.
