New Democracy wins narrowly in Greece

Greek voters on Sunday gave a narrow victory to the New Democracy party in the country’s second parliamentary election this year. New Democracy captured 129 seats in Greece's 300-seat parliament, which includes a 50-seat bonus for placing first in the election. New Democracy’s Antonis Samaras became prime minister after forming an alliance with Pasok and the Democratic Left.
