Voters in Argentina on Sunday re-elected center-leftist president Cristina FERNANDEZ, while putting her party back in control of Congress. FERNANDEZ captured around 54 percent of the vote, while her closed competitor, Hermes BINNER, only won 17 percent. This was the largest margin of victory for any presidential candidate since 1973. FERNANDEZ is the widow of former President Nestor KIRCHNER, who governed from 2003 to 2007.
