The ruling People's Party of Seychelles on Saturday won every seat in legislative elections marked by the lowest turnout since 1991. The opposition Seychelles National Party (SNP) boycotted the poll, urging their voters to abstain, or spoil their ballots. The election lasted three days due to logistical difficulties related to the country’s geography. The minor islands voted Thursday, September 29 through Friday, while the main islands voted on Saturday, October 1.
