Mauritian voters will go to the polls on May 5 following President Anerood JUGNAUTH'S dissolution of Parliament on Wednesday. Prime Minister Navinchandra RAMGOOLAM sought the dissolution a few months early, as elections were not legally due until July 2010. RAMGOOLAM, who leads the Labour Party, has run the country in coalition with the Party of Xavier-Luc DUVAL and other, smaller parties since 2005. He also held the post from 1995 to 2000.
