On September 5, Moldovans will go to the polls to vote on a referendum over constitutional revisions. The referendum comes after a year-long political stalemate that has left the country without a permanent president. The International Republican Institute (IRI), has released a survey of Moldova public opinion (PDF). The poll was conducted May 24 – June 11, 2010.
The randomly selected sample consists of 1,200 Moldovan residents older than the age of 18 and eligible to vote and is representative of the general population by age, gender and education. The margin of error for the national sample does not exceed ± three percent.
